Born and raised in Spain, Montserrat had a difficult childhood where she never understood her environment or herself.

Following two years of Art in High School and a Degree in Product Design, Montserrat continued to be unsettled and unsatisfied with the way her life was dictated and decided to leave home and move to Ireland in 2016 with the purpose of building a path, this time, of consciousness, understanding, and life development.

In 2017 she discovered her major passion when she created her first painting, pouring her feelings onto the canvas and unlocking the creative passion that had been trapped inside her. 

Since then, she has continued to improve and experiment with her new way of communication using the language of painting to find her true voice.
She intends to establish a career based on the expression of her self-development through art.

She defines her art as a semiabrstract, using acrylics, oils and mixed media on canvas and paper. 
Montserrat’s early paintings convey the emotions of pain, confusion, rage, desperation... drawn from to her past social relationships and has develop towards landscapes and drawings of caracters of her imagination.

 

As a new artist, Montserrat expects to evolve in style and content after years of self-teaching through flexibility and spontaneity.
Montserrat seeks to understand her world through her art and hopes that others can take some time to reflect on their own moods and environments when viewing her works.
